Ways To Make Your Pitch Decks Impactful

Pitch decks are one of the most powerful first-impressions tools. Not only do they demonstrate what you can do for your clients, they also serve as an example of how proficient you are with your work.

Here’s what we’ve learnt from our accumulated experience in creating successful pitch decks:

  1. Presentation slides have to be coherent

Nothing is worse than reading a pitch deck with slides jumping from point to point. Presentations have to follow a consistent, logical flow. The best way to accomplish this is to create a table of contents. This forces you to think about what you want to include in your slides, and how to organise your presentation properly.

  2. Design and readability are more important than you think

The way that your pitch deck is structured gives the reader a clue of how it’s going to be like working with you. If your pitch deck is full of fluff and doesn’t look good, how are you going to convince your client that you can deliver on the highest level?

  3. Proper English is vital

This stands especially true for copywriting services. Nobody wants to read a deck with broken English and punctuation all over the place. If copywriting is a key feature in your services, make sure that your grammar is in order, and you’ve gotten multiple people to vet through everything.

  4. Portfolios should be aligned to the scope

Your testimonials and references should be related to the job at hand. Just like a resume, your clients won’t want to read about how you spent six months as a waiter during your summer holidays.

These are just surface-level tips, of course, we can’t possibly give away everything we know on social media. However, understanding these pointers will help you to strengthen your pitches and improve your chances of securing a deal!
